More about Compas - Composite Material Laminate Lay up Design and Analysis Software
Compas is a web based computer aided design system that can be used to rapidly design laminate layup schedules using an intuitive drag and drop graphical user interface. Compas incorporates a library of base materials including all commonly used fibre reinforcements, cores and resins. Having specified your layup with a click of a button you can calculate cost, weight, strength and stiffness.
Because of the speed and ease with which laminates can be specified and analysed with Compas you have the ability to test many different possible lay up sequences to enable you to find the best match for your requirements. You can optimise yout laminates for cost by avoiding over engineering or get greater strength and stiffness for less weight for high performance applications.
Test different materials and resins, change orientations, cloth weight and core thicknesses with no limit to the number of layers specified and instantly compare the resulting laminate properties.
Software
Compas is a web application running on our server, all calculations and the material properties database are handled on the server, the user interface runs in your web browser, there is no software to install and set up, you just simply log on and use it.
As a server based application it is accessible from anywhere with internet accesss, no upgrades are required, you will always be running the latest version.
Compas is written with the latest technology web application platform from Visual WebGui, security is gauranteed as no sensitive data is transmitted.
