About Compas

Compas is a web based system designed to enable engineers, designers, manufacturers and constructors using composite materials to optimise their designs to meet cost, weight, strength and stiffness targets.
Compas consists of a database holding a library of commonly used generic materials and modern AJAX enabled computer aided design software running on our server.
Composite materials are often used in applications where weight, strength and stiffness are critical, overengineering can cause considerable weight and cost penalties without necessarily improving performance. Using Compas's library of materials alternative laminates can quickly be examined to find the best layup sequence to meet the required performance.
